The Itinerary
Day 1: Bethlehem
Morning: Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, walk in downtown Bethlehem.
Afternoon: Visit to refugee camp, meeting with Palestinian youth and women.
Day 2: Hebron, Artas
Morning: Center of Hebron, Ibrahim Mosque/Cave of Machpela, glassblowing workshop.
Afternoon: Visiting the village of Artas near Bethlehem for a traditional lunch, heritage wedding performance.
Day 3: Bethlehem, Jerusalem
Morning: Walk along the Wall at Rachel's Tomb, visit to a family house walled in from three sides, watching a power point presentation about geo-political developments in Palestine including settlement building and the Wall.
Afternoon: Bus tour along the Wall in Jerusalem, Abu Dis and Kalandia checkpoint.
Day 4: Jerusalem
Morning: Jerusalem church walk along the Mount of Olives, down to Gethsemane, visit to tomb caves.
Afternoon: Holy Sepulchre, Via Dolorosa, the Western Wall, if possible the Dome of the Rock plaza.
Day 5: Ramallah, Birzeit University
Morning: To Birzeit University, north-east of Ramallah, a main center of higher learning in Palestine. Meeting with faculty and students.
Afternoon: A walk through the hustle and bustle of downtown Ramallah and its fashionable shops.
Wadi Kilt Desert, St. George Monastery, Jericho
Morning: Walk in Wadi Kilt desert, visit St George monastery and remnants of Herod's winter palace.
Afternoon: Visit to desert mosque of Nebi Musa or by cable car to the Mount of Temptation.
Day 7: Herodion, Bethlehem
Morning: traditional handicrafts workshops, Bethlehem museum.
Afternoon: Herodion, the mountain to the east of where Herod the Great is buried. Late afternoon: Meeting with Palestinian women and youth, final celebration.
Individual wishes such as other destinations and free days can be catered for. Longer stays are also possible.
