Our Aims

In co-operation with the Arab Educational Institute-Open Windows in Bethlehem, Time for Palestine aims to promote travel and understanding of Palestine. By encouraging tourism in the West Bank of Palestine, we hope that more Europeans, Americans and others will visit a region which, though not without its very public troubles, is still fascinating and welcoming and safe. Also, by visiting, tourists will gain a more accurate picture of the incredible situation there: the restrictions imposed on the Palestinians and their steadfast and restrained response to them, must be seen to be believed.

Arab Educational Institute (AEI)-Open Windows, affiliated to Pax Christi International, is the local Palestinian representative of Time for Palestine. AEI fosters educational opportunities for Palestinian communities and youth to share and communicate to others the reality of daily life of Palestine, including its rich diversity of cultural and religious identities. Using the "Time for Palestine" Logo
The logo you see at the top of this website was developed by our team in Berlin in an attempt to reflect the welcoming and beautiful nature of Palestine and its inhabitants. In combination with pictures from Palestine - examples of which you can see at www.sumud.net or download the series of postcards - we want to change the inaccurate image which many people have built up about Palestine.
